Peony is a Senior Marketing Executive at BurdaLuxury Singapore. On any given day, you can find Peony strategising marketing campaigns for the brands within BurdaLuxury Singapore’s portfolio, coordinating with all the different brands to align marketing efforts, helping make sure BurdaLuxury stays ahead of the competition.

Can you tell us about your career journey at BurdaLuxury?
My journey at BurdaLuxury has revolved around marketing and partnerships, along with overseeing brand events across all of our titles. It has been both challenging and rewarding, and has helped me grow both professionally and personally. I have had the opportunity to strengthen our connections with each titles’ community while pushing us toward a more digital-forward approach.

What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Seeing an event come to life with a great turnout and receiving positive feedback from attendees is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, meeting new people and welcoming them into our community adds a personal touch that makes each event even more meaningful.

What’s a milestone that you’ve been proud of achieving?
Successfully overseeing and completing major projects independently has been a significant milestone in my career.

What inspired you to work in publishing/media?
I was seeking a change in my professional environment and was introduced to the publishing/media industry. Despite not having a background in this field, the dynamic challenges, fast-paced nature of the work and creative opportunities it offers drew me in.

Who were some of your biggest influences growing up?
My mother, who worked incredibly hard, has been one of my greatest influences. Her resilience has inspired me.

What is a project that you’re currently working on (if you’re at liberty to say)?
I recently wrapped up the PRESTIGE Women of Power event and am now focused on preparing for AUGUSTMAN’s inaugural Augustmen of Tomorrow Party.
