Launched on 24 April 2024 at Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop, The LSA Club, presented by Lifestyle Asia Thailand is a dynamic community for expats, entrepreneurs, and Thai internationals. The club’s mission is to foster meaningful connections, collaborations, and growth opportunities for its members. Through engaging events and unique experiences, The LSA Club serves as a support hub for its members who are navigating life and business in Thailand – creating a vibrant network of like-minded individuals.
Throughout 2024, The LSA Club held four events, beginning with Sips of Thai in August and ending with 50 Dates Before New Year’s in November.
SIPS OF THAI
The first event in The LSA Club series, ‘Sips of Thai’, was hosted on 6 August 2024, at Fnkytown, Bangkok, in partnership with Penfolds.
The event brought together expats, entrepreneurs, and Thai internationals for a night rooted in Thai culture and community. Upon arrival, participants received colour-coded flower garlands that divided them into groups, encouraging personal connections. The evening included a fun team-building game where participants, using Thai-themed keywords, had to create stories – fostering both teamwork and creativity.
The evening offered insights into Thai culture, with John Villanueva, Head Bartender at Fnkytown, sharing knowledge about the history of Thai liquor brands, while William Dibbayawan from Sarnies Group (Thailand and Singapore) reflected on the importance of building international relationships in foreign countries.
Throughout the night, participants sipped on Thai-inspired cocktails, including the exclusive “Tom Kha Mule,” specially crafted for the event. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the intricate process behind the cocktails, including the thoughtful selection of ingredients.
The event blended fun, education, and networking, making it a memorable night for The LSA Club community.
HIIT & SIP
The second event of the series, dubbed ‘HIIT & SIP’ took place on 2 October 2024 at F45 Bangkok, in partnership with OLY, Opium Bar, and Restaurant Potong. The event brought together fitness enthusiasts who were eager to connect over an intense workout.
The workout session, curated by F45 was designed to push participants to their limits with a series of high-intensity exercises – leaving everyone sweaty and energised. Following the workout, participants enjoyed food and protein-packed treats courtesy of Opium Bar, Restaurant Potong, and OLY, while competing in a fun game of human bingo to further spark connections.
The evening concluded with a relaxed ‘SIP’ session, allowing attendees to continue forging connections and friendships.
STAND UP SPOOKS
The LSA Club’s ‘Stand Up Spooks’ event, held on 30 October 2024 at Opium Bar Bangkok, offered a halloween experience filled with laughter over fright. In partnership with Restaurant Potong, Opium Bar, and Penfolds, the evening began with guests enjoying the refreshing Opium Elixir cocktail before indulging in appetisers provided by Restaurant Potong.
The highlight of the evening was the stand-up comedy lineup that had everyone laughing hysterically, starting with Jonathan Samson, followed by Deniz B. Turan, Mike Eshaq, and Pule Mapacpac.
Between comedy sets, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner courtesy of Restaurant Potong, with the night concluding with a round of games, including “Three Truths and a Lie” and “Never Have I Ever (Haunted Edition).”
30 DATES BEFORE NEW YEAR’S
The LSA Club’s final event of 2024, “30 Dates Before New Year’s,” took place on 26 November 2024 at Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop, marking a return to where it all began. In partnership with Penfolds and Coffee Meets Bagel, the event brought together 23 eligible bachelors and 23 bachelorettes for a night of connections and fun.
Upon arrival, guests received a glass of wine from Penfolds and a copy of The LSA Club Bible, a unique dating guide offering curated experiences across the city, from Michelin-star dining to adventurous activities.
The evening kicked off with a personality test that was pulled from The LSA Club Bible to help attendees identify their dating personalities, such as the adventurous explorer or the trendy socialite. Following this, three couples were chosen at random to participate in a wine pairing game (Wine4U), where each personality type matched a specific wine.
The night continued with an interactive Jenga game designed to spark deeper connections and conversations. Attendees received dating advice from the Coffee Meets Bagel chapter of The LSA Club Bible and a complimentary one-month premium membership to the app.
