Travel and Leisure India & South Asia celebrated the 5th edition of their Delicious Dining Awards on the evening of Monday, 5th August at the Le Meridien, New Delhi, curated in partnership with Team Envelop. Under the theme Food is Art, this year, the readers’ choice awards paid tribute to the culinary craftsmanship and elements that have been designed to honour the art of food, recognising and celebrating the best of India’s culinary scene.
The fifth annual Delicious Dining Awards, in partnership with Glenfiddich, introduced a new category this year: Sustainability in Dining, which acknowledges the efforts of industry leaders who are paving the way for environmentally conscious dining experiences. Attendees included industry experts, celebrity chefs, and influential figures from the culinary world.
“The Delicious Dining Awards first launched in 2018, and I am thrilled to witness the success that it continues to bring as we now celebrate the fifth edition,” said Björn Rettig, CEO, BurdaLuxury. “Travel and Leisure India and South Asia has always been committed to celebrating the best dining experiences, and this award is a testament to the incredible innovation that exists in India’s culinary world. I am particularly proud this year as we introduce the Sustainability in Dining category, which is a brand-new category that encourages practices that help the planet while still delivering first class flavours and pioneers environmentally responsible dining.”
“Having just been appointed the Editor-in-Chief at Travel and Leisure India and South Asia, I am honoured to lead the readers’ choice awards that is not only celebrating the culinary excellence that exists within our nation but also highlights the importance of sustainability within the industry,” said Akshita M. Bhanj Deo, Editor-in-Chief, Travel and Leisure India and South Asia. “This year we received close to 500,000 votes, which is a record-breaking amount for the brand, and I look forward to creating many more such milestones, especially as the 13th annual India’s Best Awards will be coming up later this year.”
